Language Connect, a specialist in language translation and communication services for the market research industry, has appointed former FocusVision exec Mickey Brooks as Senior Vice President of Sales for North America.

Language Connect provides full-service translation, localisation, interpreting, voice over and verbatim coding services from its offices in London, New York, Munich, Singapore, and Istanbul. Brooks (pictured) joins with a twenty-year MR background. Most recently, he worked at research technology and services group FocusVision, where he spent nearly thirteen years, and latterly served as Senior Director of Sales. He also spent nearly two years in a similar role at McGuire Research Services, and he served as Media Research Manager at Sponsorship Research International.

Commenting on the appointment, company owner Ben Taylor said: ‘Mickey is an exciting addition to our team and will be vital in continuing to grow our client relationships in the region. We have seen a sharp uplift in demand from the North American market, and it is a great time to welcome Mickey and other team members in the US office.’
