Pharma sector forecasting and insights firm J+D Consulting has appointed Sophie Adlard as a Business Analyst.

J+D was set up more than ten years ago and has bases in Manchester, UK and Udine, Italy. It focuses on new product planning, strategic and operational forecasting, brand planning and implementation, and data audits. Recently it has turned its attention to reducing the complexity of forecasting for its clients with the launch of the Forecasting Training Zone, face tofFace workshops and the development of webinars. Last month, it announced it had partnered with Seigo Maeda, founder of SDMJ Consulting in Japan, to support its global expansion plans.

Adlard spent a placement year at pharma giant AstraZeneca, including work on oncology drug therapy development, and recently worked as a PhD student at Cancer Research UK. The firm says she brings strong organisational skill, analytical background in collating secondary data and experience in statistics, and founding Director David James comments: ‘Sophie’s experience will be extremely valuable in supporting both market research and forecasting projects going forward'.
