Blazey Crosses to Nielsen as AdIntel Sale Finalised

January 2 2019

UK-based Ebiquity has announced that Morag Blazey, Managing Principal of its AdIntel practice, will step down from the Board with immediate effect and transfer to Nielsen as part of the sale of the practice, officially completed today.

Morag BlazeyThe sale, for a cash consideration of £26m, was announced on 13th February 2018 and approved by the Competitions and Markets Authority on 22nd November. Ebiquity says the disposal 'accelerates its ambition of becoming the world's leading independent marketing and media consultancy', with a 'more operationally-aligned, streamlined business' with more focus on evidence-based marketing, media transparency across partners and suppliers, scrutiny of digital advertising performance and measurement, and heightened complexity in ad technology and data.

CEO Michael Karg described this as 'a transformational moment for Ebiquity', which is 'now fully focussed on seizing the significant market opportunities in our growing Media, Analytics and Tech practices'. He comments: 'I would like thank Morag for her hard work and contribution to Ebiquity over the last 10 years. Morag previously led the UK business for Ebiquity and for the last two and a half years has been running the Advertising Intelligence practice and has been instrumental in agreeing the disposal to Nielsen. She has been a major part of the Ebiquity executive team and I wish her the best with her future as part of Nielsen'.

Blazey (pictured) joined the company in 2009 after working as CEO of PHD London, where she spent eight years.
