March 27 2019

US digital advertising and analytics company Adlucent has promoted Ashwani Dhar to CEO, replacing founder Michael Griffin, who moves to become SVP of Acquisitions and Data Strategy at parent company Advantage Solutions.

Ashwani Dhar and Michael GriffinAdlucent's team uses the firm's Deep Search digital marketing and shopping analytics technology, to provide customized ad management algorithms and dashboards which help brands acquire new customers. Dhar (pictured) has been with the company for more than a decade, most recently serving as Chief Client Officer managing P&L. He joined in 2008 as SVP, Sales & Marketing, having previously worked for enterprise incentive management specialist Iconixx as VP and MD; held senior positions at enterprise software companies Agea and Triology; and set up his own consulting company DC International; after beginning his career at Arthur Andersen.

Dhar takes over from Griffin, who has moved across to Adlucent's parent company Advantage Solutions, which offers business intelligence, retail merchandising, category management, shopper insights, and marketing services. Commenting on the news, Griffin said: 'Ashwani and I have been working towards this transition over the past few years. Building a company from the ground up that is so rich with talent, technology and culture has been an incredible experience. Ashwani has been working by my side during Adlucent's most formative years, and there is no one I trust more to continue leading the company in its next phase of growth.'
