New Co-CEOs for Simon-Kucher

The partners at pricing and strategy consultant Simon-Kucher have elected Mark Billige, from the UK, and Andreas von der Gathen, from Germany, as co-CEOs for the next five years. They will take up their new positions on January 1st 2020.

Founded in 1985, the firm has expanded rapidly in recent years and now employs 1300 professionals in 33 offices, with 114 partners worldwide. In January, the firm announced 2018 revenue up 23% to $360m, its strongest growth in more than a decade.

Billige and von der Gathen succeed George Tacke who has been the company's CEO since 2009 and who will step down at the end of his term in December. Billige, who joined in 2006, currently heads the London office and manages the consultancy's UK business; while von der Gathen has worked for Simon-Kucher for two decades, and is based in the firm's HQ in Bonn, from where he leads the Consumer Goods & Retail practice. They are both members of the Board.
