Former dunnhumby Exec Joins Customer Data Firm Audiens

Former dunnhumby director Rob Sharland has joined Milan, Italy-based customer data platform Audiens as Vice President of Global Sales. He will work from the firm's London office.

Rob SharlandAudiens' platform offers access to data onboarded from multiple sources - including web site, mobile app and CRM - cleaned and combined to create a single customer profile. This structured data is then modelled to create advanced customer segments which companies can publish privately or share with other advertisers for data monetization. Last year, the company was acquired by US mobile payments firm Bango.

Sharland (pictured) joins from customer data science company dunnhumby, where he served as Brand Media Director, before which he was Agency Sales Director at location data specialist GroundTruth and Senior Sales Manager at mobile marketing and ad platform InMobi. He has also worked in sales positions at Guardian News & Media and Haymarket Media Group.

In his new role, Sharland will lead global business growth, focusing initially on UK and European markets before expanding his team worldwide.
