IBM Veteran Joins Decision Resources

Healthcare focused research and data provider Decision Resources Group (DRG) has appointed former IBM exec Girish Venkatachaliah as its new Chief Product & Technology Officer, leading continued development of AI-enabled integrated solutions.

Girish VenkatachaliahDRG offers expert consultation and analysis enhanced by machine learning and AI, employing experts spanning healthcare markets, disease areas and data science disciplines to provide a comprehensive view of patient access, and payer and health system dynamics at local levels for the global healthcare ecosystem.

Venkatachaliah (pictured) joins from medical software and services provider athenahealth where he was Vice President of Data Strategy, Analytics and AI/ML. Before this spent seventeen years in a number of executive roles in data, analytics and AI/ML at IBM, most recently as VP of Product Development, with a remit including Watson Machine Learning and persistence in the Watson Data Platform.
