US Non-Profit Specialist RKD Buys in Data Expertise

Dallas-based RKD Group, which provides marketing and fundraising solutions for non-profit organizations, has acquired Boston-based Data Best Practices, after six months in which the latter's founder and President Cathy Folkes has served as the former's Acting Chief Data Officer.

RKD provides clients - including hospitals, social service, health, disease research, animal welfare, and faith-based charities - with solutions based on advanced data science, technology and strategic expertise to boost income, including development of long-term donor relationships. The firm says the acquisition will continue the development of its predictive intelligence capabilities, including data processing for campaign deployment, reporting and analysis.

Folkes (pictured) cements the CDO role for the long -term, and joins the leadership team, while her staff join the data and analytics department at RKD Group.
