Merkle Combines EMEA Analytics Teams, Promotes Gott

Data-driven performance marketing agency Merkle has promoted Ben Gott to the position of SVP Digital Analytics for the EMEA region, overseeing a team combining the analytics team from its performance marketing agency Periscopix with its existing customer analytics business.

Ben GottGott (pictured) joined Merkle-owned Periscopix in 2006, and most recently served as its Director of Analytics, having previously been Head of Web Analytics. Bringing together the existing analytics teams across EMEA, Merkle says Gott's new role has been designed to respond to the fast changing data and technology landscape, where cloud computing, AI and automation are driving innovations in business performance and customer centricity.

The new team will include 150+ data scientists, 50+ engineers and 500 plus business analysts and strategists, and will offer Merkle's clients a full suite of data and analytics services; from data science and engineering to analytics tech and data strategy consulting.

Gott will report directly into Michael Komasinski President of Merkle EMEA, who comments: 'Ben's ethos is rooted in the idea that everything is measurable and analytics is a powerful source of competitive advantage. This, and his phenomenal expertise in building an analytics business and driving value for clients through marketing performance, has been a key part in the growth of Merkle s UK operations. It was therefore clear he was the right man for this job'.
