Hull Trains Hires Customer Experience Director

In the UK, train operating company Hull Trains has appointed Anne Somers as Commercial and Customer Experience Director, responsible for listening and responding to all customer insight to help shape services around their needs, while maintaining competitive ticket prices for travellers.

Anne SomersHull trains operates 92 direct services a week from Hull and the Humber region to London, and has recently invested £60m into its Paragon fleet to speed up this journey. Somers (pictured) joins with a background of using customer feedback to influence the development of products. Most recently, she was Head of Customer at Co-op Insurance, before which she worked for Emerald Publishing as Head of User Engagement, and she was Business Development Director at the StepChange Debt Charity. Earlier, she held senior marketing roles at Consumer Credit Counselling Services UK, Aviva Life Insurance Company, Cheshire Building Society, and Yorkshire Building Society.

Commenting on the appointment, MD Louise Cheeseman said: 'Anne's experience is invaluable to Hull Trains as we focus on successfully rolling out our new fleet of trains. She brings an alternative perspective to the senior team which complements the expert operational and rail experience of the executive board'.
