Nielsen Hires Diversity Leader

Nielsen has appointed Sandra Sims-Williams as SVP of Diversity & Inclusion, beginning next month. She will lead strategy in the area for both Media and Connect sides of the business as the firm splits into two independent, publicly traded companies.

Sandra Sims-WilliamsSims-Williams was previously Chief Diversity Officer at Publicis Groupe, and brings in-depth experience of areas including diverse leadership development, retention programming, analytics and effectiveness, supplier diversity and multicultural talent acquisition. Earlier this year she made the Black Enterprise Top Corporate Executives list and SAVOY Magazine's Most Influential Women in Corporate America list. She is also a member of The Advertising Industry's Diversity Steering Committee.

She joins the company's executive leadership team, reporting to CEO David Kenny, who comments: 'Diversity & Inclusion are essential to everything we do at Nielsen.
