Acosta Hires CIO for Analytics Development Effort

In the US, retail sales, marketing and services company Acosta has appointed Sharon Hart as Chief Information Officer, to further develop the firm's proprietary digital and analytic solutions.

Founded in 1927 and based in Jacksonville, Florida, Acosta has grown from a local food broker to an outsourced sales and marketing agency serving CPG companies and retailers across the US and Canada. Hart (pictured) joins from national retailer Stein Mart, where she served as SVP Information Services, using technology to transform digital customer-centric solutions such as 'endless aisle' mobile point-of-sale and smart fulfilment. Earlier in her career, she spent fifteen years at Petsmart, latterly as interim CIO and VP, Information Systems; having previously held roles at Accenture and the Department of Transportation.

Commenting on the appointment, CEO Darian Pickett said: 'One of Sharon's first orders of business will be focusing on our technology roadmap to drive future innovations and further develop our digital and analytic proprietary solutions.
