MSG Brings Back Fahimi as EVP Chief Data Scientist

May 18 2020

Mansour Fahimi Ph.D., formerly Chief Statistician at Ipsos, has rejoined US-based sampling and tech solutions provider Marketing Systems Group [MSG] as EVP and Chief Data Scientist of its Advanced Analytics and Methods department.

Mansour FahimiMSG provides full-service qual and quant global sampling, as well as a package of expert services including an automated feedback and panel management platform, a predictive dialing telephony system and a full suite of geographic information system services.

Fahimi (pictured) brings more than three decades' experience in survey research methods and applications, most recently from Ipsos where he was SVP & Chief Statistician, and earlier in senior statistician roles at Westat and RTI, supporting survey projects for the government, commercial, social science and nonprofit sectors. In his previous stint at MSG he served as a Vice President leading its statistical services group from 2008 to 2013.

In his new role, Fahimi will head up the firm's Online solutions and new methodologies for survey sampling applications: increasing online market presence, creating high-efficiency project solutions, transitioning government survey projects from traditional to online protocols, strengthening analytical services, and enhancing sampling and weighting / calibration offerings.

Jeff Palish, Senior Vice President at MSG says the company is 'thrilled to have him back on board', and comments: 'Mansour is a world recognized leader and scholar in the field. His stellar record of innovations in design and administration of complex surveys for both public and private sector clients speaks for itself. His research into online data collection improvements is nothing less than groundbreaking, particularly the refinements he has developed for selection of nonprobability samples and cutting-edge weighting and calibration methods for samples with coverage limitations'.
