NZ's Futurescape Hires Sensory Research Expert

In New Zealand, full-service agency Glasshouse Consulting has hired Christine O'Sullivan as General Manager of its specialist product development and sensory evaluation business Futurescape Global, acquired 18 months ago.

As well as full service qual and quant research services, Futurescape offers field-only sensory services; provides access to its JuJam online panel of kids and their parents / caregivers; and uses its 'Moochers' ethnographic approach to research the 13 to 18 year old demographic. In addition, the firm has a focus group facility called ThoughtSpace.

O'Sullivan (pictured) joins in Auckland from ANZ and Asia Pacific food manufacturer / distributor Goodman Fielder, where she was Insights and Innovation Manager, involved in product development launches. Prior to this she spent nine years at WPP-owned market and social research company Colmar Brunton; latterly leading the Sensory Research team. Earlier, she was MD of SensoMetrics, and worked client-side as NPD Manager at Fonterra, overseeing a team of researchers to develop the firm's sensory product development tools.
