MDC Hires President for New Integrated Division

Marcoms group MDC Partners has hired former Deloitte exec Julia Hammond as President of a new division launched to service larger, integrated accounts across the entire firm.

Julia HammondMDC comprises more than 50 partner companies including a number of market research, shopper marketing and data and analytics specialists. Last month the Stagwell Group, which shares a CEO with MDC and is the owner of the Harris and Harris Poll brands, proposed a merger with the firm.

Hammond (pictured) joins from Deloitte's creative agency Heat, where she led business development and marketing. Prior to this, she managed client engagement and new business at VMLY&R, and also held the role of WPP Global Team Leader. She also worked at Leo Burnett, Fallon and FCB.

The new unit will focus on competing for and winning integrated assignments. Mark Penn, CEO and Chairman, comments: 'Julia is a proven entrepreneur and team builder with a fantastic track record.
