New Asia Growth Leader for Pureprofile

Australian digital research platform Pureprofile has appointed Keith Ang in the new role of Client Solutions Director. Ang worked most recently as Client Development Manager at Kantar Profiles.

Pureprofile collects consumers' profile data in exchange for rewards, and offers ad targeting, content strategy and research panel services. Eighteen months ago the firm was struggling after the unsuccessful acquisition of digital agency Cohort, and 'wrote down' the latter business to the tune of $14m, with CEO Nic Jones resigning in the summer of 2019. Former Lightspeed/GMI CEO Martin Filz took the top role in July 2020.

At Kantar, Ang (pictured) led projects but also spearheaded new business development efforts in the Asia Pacific region. Earlier he worked in quant insights in the retailer and emerging industries vertical at Nielsen. In his new role he is based in Singapore, and charged with growing the firm's presence across Asia; fostering partner relationships; growing a new Asia service delivery team; and expanding the scope of the team's work.
