Change at the Top for Vungle

November 9 2020

Mobile ad and in-app monetisation platform Vungle has promoted COO Jeremy Bondy to CEO, replacing Rick Tallman who remains as a strategic advisor.

Jeremy BondyVungle partners with mobile application developers to help monetise their apps, optimizing ads which run on more than a billion unique devices. The company is headquartered in San Francisco and has offices in New York, Los Angeles, London, Berlin, Beijing, Tokyo, Seoul and Singapore. Last month it acquired mobile advertising user acquisition automation and intelligence platform AlgoLift, for an undisclosed sum.

Tallman joined as COO in 2015, was appointed CEO in 2017 and steered the company through its acquisition in 2019 by Blackstone. Bondy (pictured) joined in 2014 and has held a number of senior sales and operational roles at the company. As COO he was responsible for setting up and scaling the company's global commercial organisation, establishing teams in Berlin, London, Beijing, Seoul, Singapore, Tokyo, New York and Los Angeles.

'For many years, Jeremy has been a key contributor to Vungle's success, and it is my honour to pass over the reins to him' says Tallman. 'His work spearheading the company's global expansion, together with his unmatched understanding of Vungle's business, customers, people and culture, make him the ideal person to lead the company into its next chapter'.

Bondy comments: 'On behalf of the entire Vungle organisation, I want to express my gratitude to Rick for his invaluable contributions to the company's historical success and, personally, for his mentorship in preparing me for this role. I look forward to his continued partnership with the company and wish him all the best'.
