Maru/Matchbox Promotes for New UK MD Role

In London, communities specialist Maru/Matchbox has promoted Sarah Beams for the newly created role of UK Managing Director, overseeing the delivery of the firm's UK strategy.

Maru/Matchbox was formed when MARU Group acquired Vision Critical's North American Research Consulting division in 2016. The business develops tech platforms to connect with customers, provide on-demand insight, and combine research and analytics data sources; and its AI-based global tech ecosystem, Maru/HUB, can be used for projects of any size.

Beams joined nearly nine years ago as a Senior Research Analyst, and more recently served as Development Director, delivering strategic projects mostly in the financial services sector. She previously worked for the Office for National Statistics, using ArcGIS and SAS software to undertake the analysis and evaluation of the 2009 Rehearsal Address Register in preparation for the 2011 Census.

Gary Topiol, CEO at Maru/Matchbox UK, will retain his position as business lead, working in close partnership with Beams on commercial opportunities, while maintaining overall leadership for financials and day-to-day business management.
