Big Sofa Expands Teams in UK and US

December 2 2020

Video intelligence platform Big Sofa Technologies has appointed Client Directors Dan Jenkins in London and Victoria Waldman in Philadelphia.

Dan Jenkins and Victoria WaldmanBig Sofa offers a platform for users to upload, edit, analyse, and share video and other digital content, a behavioural data and analysis product called Lifestream, and an experiential data and analysis tool called Lifeshare. In 2018, Ipsos became an investor in the firm, and more recently Big Sofa secured an undisclosed 'seven-figure' amount of funding from un-named private equity channels, to drive the continued development of its platform and to make hires in the UK and US.

As part of this latter funding round, Jenkins joins after nearly a decade at Kantar, where he focussed on combining technology and insight and latterly served as Client Director, Innovation, having earlier been Director, Global Offer Capability; and Development Manager, Connected Solutions. Waldman previously held senior insights roles at Comcast, Chase Card Services, and Wyndham Hotel, and more recently ran her own consultancy, Waldman Research. A member of the Qualitative Research Consultants Association (QRCA), Waldman also serves as a mentor to young research professionals through Women in Research (WIRe) and is a Director-At Large for the Philadelphia Chapter of the Insights Association.

Commenting on the two appointments, CEO Kirsty Fuller said: 'Both will be significant contributors to Big Sofa's ambitious growth plans for 2021 with a remit to win and develop new client accounts.'
