Empower Hires First Commercial Director

UK-based insight industry language specialist Empower Translate has hired Eleanor Timson for the newly created role of Commercial Director.

Re-branded in 2019, Bristol-based Empower provides bespoke MR language solutions for research agencies, corporate insight departments, marketing consultancies and drug manufacturers. Timson (pictured) joins after working as an Account Director at WPP-owned Hogarth Worldwide, which provides marketing implementation services, including all-channel production and language services. Before this she was an Account Director at creative production company Freedman International, in both the UK and New York City.

In her new role, Timson will work with Chief Commercial Officer John Temple to implement a commercial strategy for new and existing business. Commenting on the appointment, CEO Ruth Partington said: 'We're over the moon to welcome Ele onto our expanding leadership team. Her expertise in account management for marketing localisation both aligns with and enhances our team's holistic approach to empowering excellent global research'.
