Macy's Names SVP Enterprise Data & Analytics

In New York, fashion retailer Macy's, Inc. has appointed Xingchu Liu as SVP Enterprise Data & Analytics, building and leading a team which will focus on analytics governance, data management and activation.

Xingchu LiuMacy's comprises three retail brands: Macy's, Bloomingdale's and Bluemercury. Liu (pictured) joins after eight years at Home Depot-owned products and competitive intelligence tool developer BlackLocus, where he served as President, and earlier as VP, Data Analytics and Research. Prior to this he was Senior Director, Analytics at TrueCar, and he worked at price optimization and management software provider Zilliant, latterly as Senior Manager, Pricing Optimization.

In his new role, Liu reports to Matt Baer, Chief Digital Officer of Macy's, Inc., who comments: 'Enterprise data & analytics is a critical part of Macy's vision to build profitable lifetime customer relationships by embedding data and analytics at the heart of everything we do. Xingchu's deep expertise in data analytics, paired with his strong understanding of retail KPIs and consumers will be key as we modernize our technology platforms to support and enable business growth and a friction-free customer and colleague experience'.
