M&C Saatchi Group AUNZ Creates Chief Data Officer Role

M&C Saatchi Group AUNZ has promoted James Collier to the newly created role of Chief Data Officer, based in Sydney. He retains his existing role as Head of Performance at the group's full-service media agency Bohemia Group.

James CollierCollier joined Bohemia in 2012, prior to its acquisition by M&C Saatchi five years later. Before this, he co-founded 'science of speed' technology-driven sports training experience business Run Theory, and founded the ADZAG emerging tech and insights blog. Earlier, he set up the social media department at Ikon Communications, having previously worked there as a Digital Strategist. He also worked for Microsoft as a Digital Brand Strategist; and as Brand Communications Manager at Manning Gottlieb OMD.

In his new role, Collier is tasked with consolidating and expanding the group's data and analytics capability and building a marketing sciences practice. Group CEO Justin Graham comments: 'James' appointment brings a strategic edge to the M&C Saatchi Group - having already demonstrated his ability to blend business and customer analytics with provocative thinking like no other, I'm excited to see what the future holds for him as our new CDO'.
