B2B Moves Powell to Lead LA Office

Business-to-business research provider B2B International has promoted its London MD Matthew Powell to the role of Vice President and Executive Director, North America, leading its Los Angeles Office.

Acquired by Dentsu in 2018, B2B International is now part of the marcoms giant's specialist data, media and insights agency Merkle B2B. Powell (pictured) joined B2B International in Manchester, UK seventeen years ago as a Telephone Interviewer, and has since held roles including Research Director of the firm's consumer-focused agency deep see, and Project Manager in the Beijing office. His experience in B2B market research spans global segmentation programs, brand health trackers, customer journey and customer experience studies, as well as research to inform B2B thought leadership.

Powell, who has been London MD since January 2020, will now be responsible for spearheading growth in the West Coast market, while overseeing the team in LA. Commenting on the appointment, President, North America Julia Doheny said: 'The West Coast accounts for a substantial proportion of our revenue with many key finance and tech clients in the region.
