Thinkbox Appoints AOP's Jones as Head of Research

UK television marketing body Thinkbox has appointed Anthony Jones as Head of Research, replacing Oliver Robertson who has moved to a role at Amazon Advertising.

Anthony JonesThinkbox was founded in 2005, with shareholders Channel 4, ITV, Sky Media, Turner Media Innovations and UKTV, to help the main UK commercial broadcasters understand how audiences engage with TV advertising. Jones (pictured) will join in October after serving as Head of Insight at the Association of Online Publishers (AOP). In this role, his remit included delivering the 'Context Matters' study, providing an understanding of the memory impact of different editorial environments. Prior to this he held senior research and insight roles at Aegis Media, where he was Global Head of Research, ZenithOptimedia and Royal Mail.

In his new position, Jones will be responsible for leading and advancing the research team's content and delivering primary TV advertising-related research studies. He will report to Matt Hill, Research and Planning Director, who comments: 'Having someone with Anthony's experience join the team is fantastic. His track record and the quality and range of the organisations he has worked with are hugely impressive.
