Havas Hires Social Impact Chief

October 1 2021

Marcoms giant Havas has appointed Lindsay Stein as its first Chief of Social Impact, tasked with partnering with marketers and client firms to help them create research-based social impact solutions.

Lindsay SteinStein (pictured) joins after serving as the CEO of non-profit 'Today, I'm Brave', which celebrates young people performing brave acts. During her time with the organization, she led the inaugural Brave Camp, an event that brought together individual donors and more than 100 ad agencies and production companies to fund low-income and BIPOC (black, Indigenous and people of color) youth to attend a week-long event designed to inspire self-confidence. Earlier, Stein was the US Editor of Campaign Magazine, and she was a Reporter at Ad Age and PRWeek.

In her new role, she will help define the metrics around how 'success' is measured by developing custom social impact workshops, initiatives and projects. In addition, she will coordinate all 'purpose-based' efforts internally - from team-building activities and creative campaigns, to internal philanthropic efforts and external messaging.

She joins the North American agency's executive leadership team, helmed by CEO Laura Maness, who comments: 'In today's society, purpose and profit do not need to be mutually exclusive - and advertising is no exception. I'm thrilled to have someone as passionate and mission driven as Lindsay take on this leadership role and move Havas and our clients forward in a meaningful way'.
