VMLY&R Names Chief Experience Officer for Asia

WPP's brand and customer experience agency VMLY&R has appointed Symon Hammacott as Chief Experience Officer for Asia, based in Singapore.

Symon HammacottVMLY&R uses data and insights to 'reimagine' the customer experience, then creates work designed to connect brands with consumers. Hammacott (pictured) joins with more than two decades of experience of transforming businesses through design-led change. Most recently, he was Regional Head of Experience at Publicis Sapient, before which, he was an experience strategy and design Consultant for creative agency Isobar, where he worked for more than a decade.

In his new role, Hammacott will be responsible for driving the Customer Experience (CX) practice for the agency network in Asia and leading the region's CX and Technology leadership teams. He will also be tasked with identifying and investing in new technologies and partnerships to develop VMLY&R's CX portfolio.

The role involves working closely with Global Chief Experience Officer, Jeff Geheb, and VMLY&R Co-CEO, Asia, Tripti Lochan, who comments: 'Symon brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to VMLY&R. He has a clear vision of how he wants to steer the practice in conjunction with our brand experience (BX) and commerce offerings, and his passions for sustainability and ethical design fit perfectly into our ethos of brands with purpose.
