Acumen Fieldwork Opens B2B and Social Division

March 1 2022

Manchester, UK-based Acumen Fieldwork has launched a B2B and Social Research department, which will focus primarily on hard-to-reach groups - ranging from those who are disenfranchised from society to key decision-makers in named occupations.

Charlotte AshallFounded in 2005 by Abi and Julie Fuller, Acumen offers a full range of methods for qual and quant fieldwork and recruitment, including healthcare. Its new division has already been involved in a range of issues, including speaking to victims of human trafficking, modern day slavery, Roma or traveller communities, members of the LGBT community, neuro-diverse individuals and women who've faced harassment in the workplace.

The department is led by Charlotte Ashall (pictured), who joined the firm a year ago after a decade at Acumen's recruitment arm and sister company Research Opinions, latterly as Senior Project Manager. Commenting on the launch, Ashall said: 'It's fantastic to know that the hard work you put into finding exceptionally difficult to source participants is being recognised - but that's not a key motivator within our department. The most important things for us are, that we are facilitating some of the hardest, most complex research quotas with an understanding that this is at the cutting edge of research; where it can make a difference to individuals, communities and even on a national scale'.
