Kin + Carta Names New CEO

July 20 2022

London-based digital transformation consultancy Kin + Carta has announced that CEO J Schwan is retiring from his role at the end of this month, when he will be succeeded by Kelly Manthey, currently the Group's CEO for the Americas.

Kelly MantheyKin + Carta's focus is on helping businesses accelerate their digital roadmap, innovate, modernize their systems, and optimize for continued growth. The firm's Data and AI services help unlock data and modernise processes through insights and automation, while its Digital Products team helps build data and insights into customer and employee experience strategy. Last year, the group sold its strategic consultancy Incite to STRAT7, and its Edit customer data business to marketing services provider The Salocin Group.

Schwan became CEO in 2018, when the firm was known as St Ives. Manthey (pictured) will take over leadership of the group on 1st August, after 2.5 years with the business. She previously served as CEO of Solstice, the digital marketing services agency Schwan founded in 2001 and which was acquired by St Ives in 2015. Prior to her fourteen years at Solstice, Manthey held management positions at Bristol Myers-Squibb.

In addition, as part of the group's succession planning strategy, Chris Kutsor, Kin + Carta's CFO, has taken on the additional role of Chief Operating Officer. Company Chairman, John Kerr, states: 'Kin + Carta is unrecognisable from 2018 when J took over as CEO. With sterling support from Kelly and Chris among others, J has been the architect of this transformation, and on behalf of the Board, I would like to thank him for his dedication and contribution. The Board is delighted to appoint Kelly Manthey as J's successor'.
