Javelin Hires Leader for Digital Lending Practice

US-based financial services quant specialist Javelin Strategy & Research has appointed Babs Ryan as Lead Analyst for its Digital Lending practice.

Babs RyanAcquired by Escalent in 2020, Javelin provides in-depth analysis of financial services market and technology trends, for clients including financial institutions, government agencies, payments companies, merchants, fintechs and technology providers. Ryan (pictured) joins with more than twenty years' experience in the global digital lending industry. Most recently, she held P&L, innovation and marketing roles at GE Capital Card Services (now Synchrony), ThoughtWorks, Sparks Worldwide, Kawasaki and Citibank UK, before which she served as an Analyst and Consultant at Forrester and PwC.

In her new role, Ryan will provide clients with insights, advice and thought leadership on a range of topics such as consumer lending products, digital account opening and alternative credit scoring. She has already delivered a new report: 'Global Greats: Translating Digital Lending Innovations for the US', which covers global trends in lending and the consumer data and insights behind them, and delves into how these can be translated and adapted for the US market.
