Change of CEO for Dynata

October 31 2022

Dynata has appointed a new Chief Executive: former Dodge Data and Analytics head Mike Petrullo replaces longstanding leader Gary S. Laben.

Mike PetrulloDynata says Laben - who became CEO of Research Now in 2016 and whose next move is not yet known to DRNO - 'led the company's transformational journey to becoming the world's largest first-party data platform for insights, activation and measurement'. He was selected as CEO of the combined company when Research Now merged with SSI in December 2017 and oversaw the firm's rebrand to Dynata just over a year later. Launches of Marketplace and Connected Insights platforms followed soon after as the firm shifted its focus to that of a first-party data specialist, and at one point rumors circulated of a sale with a price tag north of $3bn.

Petrullo brings more than 30 years' experience from executive-level roles in business services and technology, including building businesses organically and through mergers and acquisitions, as well as the integration of large and complex businesses. Most recently, he served more than seven years as a member of the board of directors of DISA Global Solutions, and four years as CEO of Dodge Data & Analytics. Earlier he spent more than five years as CEO and President of pre-employment screening software platform HireRight Solutions, Inc.

'I'm thrilled to join Dynata' says Petrullo, 'and build on the accomplishments and extraordinary work that's helped differentiate our business in the industry... As our industry evolves, we'll focus relentlessly on growing Dynata by investing in innovative products and solutions, and expanding our industry leadership in high-quality, fully permissioned first-party data - the cornerstone for accurate and actionable insights'.
