NatCen Leaders Join UK Government Advisory Panel

In the UK, the government has appointed two senior execs from NatCen to its 'Evaluation and Trial Advice Panel' (ETAP), which aims to support the design and delivery of robust, high-quality evaluation across government.

Martina Vojtkova and Andi FugardNatCen (The National Centre for Social Research) is a not-for-profit and registered charity which 'aims to promote a better-informed society through high quality social research'.

Established in 2015, ETAP is managed by the government's Evaluation Task Force and provides free advice to government departments designing evaluations in arwas including crime, education and employment.

Martina Vojtkova (pictured top), Director of the Policy Research Centre, and Andi Fugard (below), Deputy Director of the Centre for Evaluation will join the panel this month for a term of two years, with a possible one-year extension.

Vojtkova comments: 'NatCen has over 50 years' experience of working in social research with government and other stakeholders. Every year our dedicated Centre for Evaluation delivers a number of different evaluations of programmes to help understand what works. We are delighted to be sharing our expertise on this Evaluation & Trial Advice Panel'. Fugard says NatCen is 'passionate about ensuring the public's voice is heard to help shape policy decisions and services that affect their lives'.
