BMG Research Names Simon Wood Managing Director

UK-based social research and insight agency BMG Research has promoted Simon Wood as Managing Director. He takes over the position from co-founder Dawn Hands, who has become company CEO.

Founded in 1988, Birmingham-based BMG delivers market and employee research, customer insights and public perception surveys to central government clients, government agencies and regulators, local authorities, utility companies and housing associations. Earlier this year, the firm was acquired by environmental, engineering and technical services group RSK.

Wood (pictured) joined the company in 2019, after more than eleven years at Kantar, where he latterly served as Head of Commercial Strategy and Offer / Head of Design & Insight, before which, he was UK Head of Customer Experience. Earlier, he was a Research Manager at GfK, having begun his MR career as an RE then SRE at Pye Tait.
