United Business Media has completed its acquisition of Roper Starch Worldwide, first announced at the beginning of August, for USD88 million.
Roper Starch will now be merged with NOP World's Audits and Surveys Worldwide to form Roper ASW, one of the most significant consumer research groups in the USA. The merger will generate revenue and cost synergies and will provide critical mass to United's growing US research operations.
Roper Starch is one of the world's leading consumer market research and trends consultancies. The addition pf Roper represents another important step in United's strategy to build leading positions in its core market information businesses.
