New Sales Position at NPD

Leading market information provider, The NPD Group has appointed Thomas H. Stigler to the newly created position of corporate vice president of sales. Stigler will be responsible for creating and implementing a corporate-wide sales strategy and a new sales vision for the company.

Both will capitalise on the new business opportunities inherent in a series of new service offerings, the NPD Worlds - marketing information portals delivering essential market information in each vertical market monitored by NPD.

According to Tod Johnson, chairman and CEO at NPD, "Tom's goal at NPD will be to help create a more sales-driven company that can deliver significant year-to-year revenue growth, while taking advantage of exciting new market opportunities that have materialized as a result of NPD's evolution from traditional research provider to online market information provider."

With a diverse background that includes sales and executive sales management positions at IBM Corporation and Hitachi Data Systems, as well as two software and information services companies, Stigler brings to NPD a 20-year track record of building and leading high-performance sales teams.
