Major CAPI study with GMI Tools

September 28 2001

TNS Interseach has successfully completed a nationwide CAPI study in the USA using Net-CAPI(tm), Global Market Insite's Net-CAPI, an advanced Internet-based CAPI solution.

The study, commissioned to TNSI by a global consumer product company, applied a complex 90-minute questionnaire to more than 5,000 respondents in a number of interview centres across the United States. Interviewers were able to download GMI's license-free interview tool from a secure interviewer portal, and then regularly upload results with their web browser. TNSI staff were able to get updates on progress via GMI's real-time web-based reporting tools.

"We worked closely with GMI during Net-CAPI's development. The result is a robust interviewing tool and a data collection system that handled an extremely large and complex study," said Ian Kiernan, Senior Vice-President of Operations at TNS Intersearch.

Net-CAPI is part of the Net-MR(tm) suite of tools, GMI's complete and integrated web-based platform for conducting market research. By combining a variety of data collection methods - CAPI, CAWI, CATI - with powerful web-based tools for panel management questionnaire design, data analysis, and project management tools, Net-MR helps to increase market researchers' productivity.

According to John Jensen VP of Product Development, "This study was a demanding test of Net-CAPI's capabilities. This version of Net-CAPI has been bundled with newly-introduced Net-MR 2.0 at no additional cost to licensees. It is yet another way that we are improving the value equation of owning an integrated set of tools rather than licensing incompatible tools from many vendors."
