The International ESOMAR Automotive Conference & Exhibition is approaching fast. Scheduled for the 4-6th March in Lausanne, Switzerland, this bi-annual research forum will run alongside the International Motor Show in Geneva as usual.
Over the past six years the conference is thought to have attracted over 1,500 participants from 40 different countries worldwide. And as ever, this year's event should provide a useful sounding board for all those involved in researching the automotive industry.
Adrian Wimbush, chairman of the Programme Committee, has identified this year's main concerns, 'Despite record sales in the major markets in recent years, manufacturers are losing money. As they fight for sales, increasingly it is the retail offering such as price and finance that is the leading marketing tool.'
