Corporate Focus Research Additions

Following its acquisition of Corporate Focus Foods in December 2001, independent marketing consultancy Through the Loop has now increased its competitive intelligence coverage of the food industry by adding two more companies to its international reporting service, i.e. Cadbury Schweppes and PepsiCo.

Both multinationals are already covered within the company's Corporate Focus Beverages service, so the new departure will concentrate on the producers' foods operations. In the case of Cadbury Schweppes, this will include its whole panoply of chocolate and sugar confectionery. In the case of PepsiCo, this will include snacks brands Frito Lay and Walkers in the UK along with the ex-Quaker food brands acquired last year.

Both companies are to be covered in the form of a series of quarterly newsletters, with the option of an annual foundation report. These are distilled from hundreds of different sources worldwide, providing up-to-date reviews of corporate, divisional, regional and global developments.

According to Carol Samms, managing director of Through the Loop, 'As part of our continual development of Corporate Focus, we are always looking to increase the level of coverage in terms of companies. A number of our existing subscribers had requested the inclusion of these two companies in the Corporate Focus programme.'
