TNS Media Intelligence

April 2 2002

TNS Tellex and Parker Bishop have announced that they are to re-brand as one dedicated media monitoring agency - TNS Media Intelligence - from the beginning of April this year.

The new name is part of a global re-branding of the Media Intelligence sector of Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS), the marketing information company. It encapsulates the extensive range of media evaluation, research and in-depth monitoring services now being offered to clients.

Nigel Foote, Managing Director of TNS Media Intelligence (UK) said 'The re-branding is a natural consequence of our extensive investment programme to go beyond monitoring and cuttings services - delivering in-depth and proactive intelligence on how our clients' brands are presented and fostered through the media.'

TNS Media Intelligence brings together the talents of Tellex and Parker Bishop to provide UK companies with an unrivalled depth and coverage of press, web and the broadcast channels across the UK, together with improved client service and account management - through one dedicated sales number and web offering.

Key developments for 2002 include:

  • Focus on quality service - including a single lo-call number 0870 20 20 100 allowing calls to be dealt with more rapidly and efficiently than previously.
  • The introduction of a new web based alert service.
  • National and regional coverage will be further extended and improved over the coming weeks, building on the current network of 8 regional offices.

Tellex Monitors and its subsidiary, Parker Bishop, were acquired by TNS in December 1999.
