New Interview Toolkit

April 24 2002

QualiQuant International and CRAM International have just launched The QualiQuant Toolkit on the market. This innovative web-centric technology allows interviewing to be carried out online or offline using Computer Assisted Interviewing and is thought particularly useful for finance, pharmaceutical, B2B sectors, employee research and youth markets.

The QiQ Toolkit offers a set of web-centric tools for the whole process of conducting global multi-lingual market research directly in a web browser. Key features are (1) questionnaire design, (2) respondent management, (3) project management, (4) quota control, (5) data collection using mixed mode methods, and (6) real time analysis, cross tabulation and reporting. All data, whether collected offline or online, is downloaded to, and tabulated in, a single secure online database.

The Toolkit is based upon extensive experimentation work to identify projective techniques that take full advantage of the computer environment. As a result, it is possible to access, in quantitative interviews, levels of emotional response previously only achieved in face-to-face groups and depth interviews. Main question types include:

  • Drag and drop visual association and collage building
  • Adjectival selection
  • Sentence and Bubble completion
  • Story telling and guided dreams
  • Brand planet type projectives using drag and drop
  • Brand grouping exercises.

The Toolkit also includes all standard conventional quantitative style questions.

Interviews are carried out either online via the global panel, or offline using face-to-face web assisted interviewing on PCs in a central location or on laptops in-home. The Toolkit can also be used in online group discussions.
