Online Research Strengthened at MRSI

May 16 2002

US agency MRSI (Marketing Research Services) has announced partnerships with Greenfield Online and Global Market Insite (GMI) in order to strengthen the agency's online research capabilities and allowing the company to gain full control over its online interviewing process, from source of respondents to data collection to reporting.

The ability to manage the entire process in-house and to integrate that with the company's custom study design and analysis will now allow MRSI to provide clients a full-service, one-stop shop for cost-effective Web-based research.

MRSI's Chief Operating Officer, Todd Earhart, commented on the company's Internet research experience, 'Although we were early adopters of Web-based research, we carefully investigated its pros and cons before moving forward. MRSI has seen and been a part of the tremendous growth in Web-based data collection technology over the years, and the increasing advantages of using this method are making it more and more attractive to our clients. Our continued investment in hardware, software and supplier relationships help us to lead our clients through the transition from traditional to Web-based research.'

Greenfield Online is MRSI's preferred provider of respondents for consumer research. Under the terms of the agreement, Greenfield Online will provide MRSI with qualified survey respondents from its panel of 1.2 million members and through its MSN 'river' sampling capabilities.

MRSI has also entered into an enterprise licensing agreement with GMI to use its Net-MR software suite for Web-based data collection and reporting. MRSI will host GMI's software on dedicated servers, which allows the agency total control to directly administer survey invitations, questionnaire development, data collection, quota control and reporting for all research projects.
