Customer Retention Seminar

June 25 2002

ORC International is running a free seminar on effective research strategies next month, Wednesday 31 July 2002. To be held at the London office, the event will focus on how research can improve customer retention.

The seminar has been designed around a set of retail case studies, with each of the speakers addressing a basic theme relating to loyalty and the consumer. The panel will include speakers from ORC's own consumer, trade and retail research division, as well as a special guest speaker from Cap Gemini Ernst and Young.

The agenda, as scheduled so far, includes:

  • How effective research can help retain your customers - the factors that contribute to consumer loyalty to a brand or retailer
  • Tailoring your business with consumer relevancy - how thinking in consumer terms can help engage and maintain the customer base
  • Fashion and fashionability is everywhere - how to target the fashion conscious consumer
  • One sure way to keep your consumers happy - exploiting the link between employee and customer satisfaction
  • Understanding your consumers before they change - how to pre-empt consumer behaviour through greater insight.

Describing the day's agenda, Nick Mawditt, head of ORC International's consumer, trade and retail division said, 'It has never been so important to understand changing consumer behaviour and the trends currently impacting on consumers. Our seminar will appeal to those interested in finding new ways to increase customer loyalty through the use of market research. It will also provide a great opportunity to listen to experts, learn from best practice as well as network with peers from other retail sectors.'
