Net-Mall Network Expanded

July 12 2002

Global Market Insite (GMI), Cunningham Research, and Field Facts Worldwide have this week announced the further expansion of the global network of central location testing facilities. The expansion increases the number of US mall locations to more than 125 unique sites across the USA, and extends the network globally via Field Facts' Worldwide offices and partner sites. Both companies have licensed GMI's Net-MR suite of Net-centric software tools for market research management.

In announcing the expansion of Net-Mall Network, GMI's CEO, Rob Monster, commented 'The addition of Cunningham Research and Field Facts Worldwide to the Net-Mall Network is an important step forward towards providing the research industry with a better infrastructure for rapid sampling of respondents across a representative population. Efforts to date to conduct representative city-level and county-level research via the Internet have largely not succeeded. The Net-Mall Network enables Mall Research facilities to leverage their local presence, but at the speed of the Internet.'

Douglas Fedele, General Manager of Field Facts Worldwide added 'We are delighted to extend the GMI Net-Mall Network internationally. With the globalization of business it becomes more-and-more essential that information can be accumulated quickly from all over the world and integrated into a uniform format. Combined with our global reach and extensive fieldwork experience this new tool will enhance the high level of services that we already offer our clients. '

The Net-Mall Network provides the means for researchers to achieve the representativeness of traditional offline methodologies with the speed of the Internet, and the flexibility of multimedia CAPI interviewing. This is achieved via the introduction of standardized Net-CAPI interviewing tools into mall facilities providing advanced support for multimedia such as television commercials, movie trailers, advertising copy and high-fidelity audio. Results are streamed in real-time using XML-based data transport enabling centralized quota management and real-time reporting and analysis of results.
