House of Commons Debate on MR

November 21 2002

Next Monday (November 25th) see a debate in the House of Commons on the subject 'Government expects Market Research to take its decisions'.

The event is being sponsored by The Market Research Society in the UK and organised by the Debating Group, a parliamentary forum designed to strengthen the links between the political world and the marketing and communication world.

Lord McIntosh of Haringey is chairman for the debate. Speaking for the motion are Peter York, director of SRU and author of the 'Official Sloane Rangers Handbook' and Nick Jankel-Elliott, Director of Planning at Happy Dog Group. Speaking against the motion are Deborah Mattinson, Joint Chief Executive at Opinion Leader Research and Peter Kellner, chairman of yougov.com and political journalist.
