Itracks Adds Website Usability Tool

November 22 2002

Interactive Tracking Systems Inc. (Itracks), specialising in online market research data collection services, has launched its new Online Usability tool for website testing. Designed with the input of leading market research firms, Online Usability is designed specifically for market researchers, allowing them to expand their service offerings in the area of website testing.

Itracks' Online Usability gives market researchers the flexibility to conduct qualitative or quantitative website usability studies. The application can be fully integrated with online focus groups, bulletin board groups or surveys.

Research participants take part over the Internet from where they normally access the Web. These real-environment studies are task based so the researcher always knows the participant's intent. The online reporting facility allows market researchers to view click statistics such as click density and click path, as well as qualitative comments collected in Itracks' unique verbatim capture.

'Itracks' Online Usability means market researchers can add another tool to their tool kit,' said Dan Weber, President & CEO. 'We've built this tool with the direction and cooperation of some of our key clients: market researchers with expertise in website usability testing. Market researchers can be confident that it is a robust application that meets their needs.'

Traditionally website usability studies are conducted in a lab environment, where participants visit a research firm to surf a website and sit beside a researcher who asks them questions. Online Usability will allow researchers to conduct studies with geographically dispersed populations, gathering a wide range of opinions, while providing well-defined exercises that respondents can easily self-administer.
