New Synovate Director

February 12 2003

Jon Wilkins, one of the research industry's leading figures in communications studies has joined Synovate as Director of Branded Solutions.

A highly respected and popular member of the research community, Jon has published numerous conference papers and articles within the industry for ESOMAR, MRS, IIR, Marketing Week and Admap.

Bill Pegram, Chairman of Synovate, commented 'Jon's arrival is perfect from a timing perspective. Synovate has grown by 50% in 2002 and Jon's authority and drive will help us sustain that momentum into the future. More importantly, Jon's experience in a wide range of sectors will enable us to service major clients from around the world.'

Jon added 'My decision to join Synovate was all about broadening my opportunities. I've greatly enjoyed my time at Ipsos but Synovate is such an exciting place to be. We are creating a global network. Already we're number 10 in the world. And the opportunities for someone with my experience are enormous. Synovate want me to use my knowledge of food and drink, FMCG, healthcare, banking, insurance, payment cards, retail, telecoms, travel, transport and public sector. We already have some great business solutions in place, techniques developed around the world. My task is to talk to clients and establish exactly what their business needs are. I'm looking forward to working with them and creating new solution where appropriate.'

It is envisaged that Jon's new role will pull together strands of his previous jobs. These will involve customer satisfaction, sponsorship, advertising, copy testing, ad tracking and brand equity research.
