Researchers BPRI win Queen's Award

April 27 2003

UK research-based consultancy BPRI, (part of the WPP group) has joined a select group of 62 companies in winning a Queen's Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category.

The company, which specialises in undertaking research in B2B and complex service markets, has been highly successful in developing long-term relationships with global corporates such as Accenture (USA) and Ericsson (Sweden). Global research programmes - undertaken in over 50 countries around the world - are carried out from London (where resources include a multi-lingual global data collection centre) and wholly-owned subsidiaries in Chicago and Sydney.

Jonathan Shingleton, BPRI's Executive Chairman, commented 'We are extremely proud to have won a Queen's Award, which reflects our commitment and achievement in providing global research services to international clients. As far as I'm aware only one other market research company has ever previously won the award.'

The win comes at a time when the number of applications in the international trade category has fallen, no doubt due to the global economic downturn. Eligibility for the Award is based on strict performance criteria - BPRI has nearly trebled its overseas sales over three years.
