New Reward Scheme Unveiled at Nunwood

July 21 2003

UK consultancy Nunwood has recently announced the introduction of a new staff reward scheme, offering team members showing outstanding commitment a memorable holiday with a number of themes and activities selected by the agency.

Under the Horizons scheme, each year a number of dedicated staff members will be selected to take part in an all expenses paid trip. However beach holidays are not the order of the day - recipients make all their own arrangements and are told where they are to go - in keeping with the best traditions of reality TV they will also be set challenges to do whilst they are there. The reward is intended to be fun but also to push employees to do things they would never normally have done.

Nunwood MD Clare Bruce, who devised 'Horizons', comments: 'While many agencies invest heavily in client relationships, they often overlook the commitment of employees who have gone above and beyond the call of duty and who have continually pushed themselves on behalf of the company.

'With such a dynamic and driven team at Nunwood, we wanted our reward scheme to inspire, so we decided to introduce something that is a bit 'out of the ordinary' and which is open to all staff - client facing or not. We want our staff to get the most from these trips and are happy to help them to realise a life-long dream - all in the name of research of course!"

The first recipients on the scheme have just been announced - they are Zack Harcombe and Paul Kemp, who work in Nunwood's IT and data processing departments respectively. Zack and Paul will be jetting off to Rio de Janeiro next February, where they will experience Carnival and meet up with some Brazilian researchers, to discuss the cultural implications of researching consumers and advertising in Brazil. They have also been challenged to learn some Portuguese and pick up some Samba steps whilst they are there.
