NetRatings Acquires European Online Ad Monitoring Service

Internet audience measurement specialist NetRatings, Inc. has announced the acquisition this week of NetCrawling S.A., the developer and marketer of LemonAd, Europe's leading online advertising monitoring service. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The service, which will be branded Nielsen//NetRatings LemonAd, provides online advertising intelligence for eleven European markets including the U.K, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, Sweden, Norway and Denmark. LemonAd serves advertisers, advertising agencies and publishers, including a monthly overview of the online advertising market, insight into the latest trends, in-depth analysis of campaign activity and information for the top advertisers on more than 3,600 web sites. The new service will complement Nielsen//NetRatings' NetView Internet Audience Measurement service.
