More Graduates on Nunwood Scheme

September 24 2003

Three more graduates are starting out this month at Leeds-based research consultancy Nunwood, one of the few UK agencies outside the South East to operate a Graduate Training Scheme. Following the success of the inaugural programme in 2002, the Scheme will now run annually.

Diane Pinto, Chris Mortensen and Timothy Burge were selected from nearly a hundred applicants for the scheme. All three will be given exposure to quantitative, qualitative and field departments at Nunwood during the training period, ensuring a broad basic knowledge of research from which to make choices about specialisation.

The new recruits come from universities across the country where they studied a variety of degree courses described by Nunwood as 'non-traditional' - these include Public Relations, Russian Language with Marketing and European Business. Their extra-curricular experience ranges from teaching English in Siberia to conducting academic research in the Czech Republic.

According to Nunwood MD Clare Bruce, 'For the second year running, we received an enormous amount of interest from high calibre applicants for the three graduate places we had on offer. I was amazed and encouraged by the level of talented people out there seeking a career in market research.

'Diane, Chris and Timothy showed real energy, creativity and commitment throughout all stages of the selection process. With their diverse backgrounds and experiences I am certain that they will all add their own individual value, creative thinking and fresh approach to the Nunwood team'.
