Ex-Psyma Directors Join SKOPOS In Merger

October 15 2003

European online research specialist SKOPOS has announced that it has finalised a merger agreement with fellow online insight company MDS. The new company will retain the name SKOPOS, and will boast a broader range of specialist market sectors.

MDS founders Thomas Starsetzki and Marcus Dreyer become partners in the SKOPOS Group and joint Managing Directors with Olaf Hofmann and George Korff.

Starsetzki and Dreyer have in-depth experience of sectors including Pharmaceuticals and Financial Services, complementing SKOPOS specialisms in Food & Drink, Media/Communications, and Mobile Telecoms. They have worked in the online research area since the mid-90's, initially as Senior Directors at Psyma, where they were responsible for clients such as Bayer Europe and Allianz Financial Services. MDS was founded in 2001.

The new partners will work with UK MD Darren Noyce to enhance and develop specialist market sector approaches, and panEuropean offers including the SKOPOS Euro-Panel(tm) of 'Net users, the SOSBureau(tm) online field and tab service and SKOPOS SnapShots(tm) online omnibus.

According to Noyce the merger puts SKOPOS 'at the forefront of progressive market research in Europe', enhancing the breadth of experience of its senior management, its expertise in the human and business sciences, its methodological capability and its sector knowledge.

SKOPOS has offices in London, Paris, Cologne and Berlin. The company's Web site is at www.skopos.info
